Boston Passport Agency

If you have a need for your passport application to be rushed and live in the Boston area, then you should consider applying at the Boston Passport Agency. Applying at the National Passport Center will take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks before your passport can be released. This makes it difficult for those who need to travel immediately for work or leisure.

At the Boston Passport Agency, you can get your emergency passport the same day if you can show travel plans within the next two weeks. They will only begin the process once you’ve proven the emergent need for a US passport. Once the process is started, you may be able to get your passport within the same day or up to 48 hours.

To begin the application, book an appointment with the State Department. Call the toll-free number and follow the instructions that will be relayed to you. Then, you will need to appear personally at the Boston Passport Agency at your designated schedule. Failure to appear at the agreed time would void your appointment and you will need to reschedule.
